With the ongoing and likely growing discussion of electoral reform, it seemed like a good time to look at just how skewed the results can be under our beloved current first past the post system.

This chart compares the votes each of the parties recieved to the number of seats that they won by various regional groupings. There is some overlap in votes here, as in both the provinces, cities, and national groups include many of the same votes. However, each region produced very different results so it’s worthwhile to compare how some are more or less skewed.
